Aloha,
We’ve obtained a cancellation permit for an early March launch (6 weeks away) and are seeking a 4th qualified rower (and passenger) with prior Grand Canyon / big water rowing experience. We are from all over the country and will be using all PRO rental gear 18′ Sotar’s and food pack, 18 days to Diamond Creek. We range in age from early 30s to late 40s and are fun and lively, half/half vegetarians/carnivores.
I have two years experience as a former commercial guide on the Arkansas/Royal Gorge in Colorado, and have rowed numerous private trips through the Grand Canyon (twice), Yampa-Green, Cataract (twice), Rogue, Salt and others. Captain 2 has several years of experience rowing private trips on the Main Salmon, the Rogue and Umpqua, and is SRT and WFR current. Captain 3 is less experienced but has recently guided for two years on the Taylor river in Colorado and is SRT current. The rest of the group includes avid hikers, campers and musicians and all have multi-day rafting experience. Being this close to launch, we have been unsuccessful recruiting from our extended whitewater family and are seeking input from the GCPBA community. Thanks in advance for any feedback or interest.
Kevin
