RiverMaps map books “go with the flow”. Each of the 51 map pages is oriented so the river flows upward on the page. No more turning your map upside down or twisting your head to read it. Printed on water- and tear-resistant synthetic paper specially made for all-weather use. The maps measure 8-1/2 x 14 inches – much larger than most river guide books. The book has a spiral binding and stiff cover that makes it lay flat and easy to use. USGS 7.5′ topographic maps are the background at the original map scale of 2,000 feet per inch.

Additional information is added for river runners, including river mileage, scout points for rapids, campsites, rapids, and other features of interest. These maps provide more information to river runners who want to see more of the river corridor. They’re great for planning side hikes, too.

There is now an index of geographic places, making it easy to look up where along the river something is located.

It is the only guidebook with maps extending to South Cove in Lake Mead.

This book is the most convenient way to stay connected with what is happening on a Grand Canyon float trip. All the information you need, and most of what’s interesting, are found on each page as you drift merrily along. The book’s layout is ideal to tie down next to you while setting up for the next rapid. The idea of having the maps and descriptions all start at the bottom of each page is absolutely brilliant! It tells you where to put your boat for the best run, and where to find the best campsites, hikes, and points of interest.

If you are planning a float trip, this is the best book to get for the voyage.
